La Doma est le luminaire suspendu le plus ouvertement artisanal de la gamme Hevna. Aucune patine n'obscurcit la surface, aucune touche de vert-de-gris n'adoucit la texture, aucun brossage n'efface les marques — juste du cuivre dans son état le plus chaud et le plus immédiat, et la preuve complète de chaque coup de marteau qui l'a façonné. Le dôme est formé à la main sur une forme arrondie, l'artisan travaillant en cercles concentriques depuis le sommet vers le bas, chaque coup chevauchant légèrement le précédent, construisant la courbe coup après coup jusqu'à ce que l'hémisphère soit complet. Les facettes laissées sont grandes et irrégulières — pas le fin martelage régulier d'une surface texturée à la machine, mais le genre de marque variée et énergique que seul un outil manuel laisse.
Une fois la forme établie, la surface ne reçoit qu'un léger traitement de patine — l'intervention la plus douce du processus de finition Hevna. Juste assez pour approfondir légèrement le cuivre dans les creux des marques de marteau, créant un contraste subtil entre les points hauts, qui restent brillants et chauds, et les points bas, qui prennent une teinte légèrement plus foncée. Le résultat est une surface qui ressemble à du cuivre bruni en lumière directe — presque lumineuse — et à quelque chose de plus ancien et de plus complexe dans l'ombre.
Le col de douille moleté à la couronne est un petit détail à noter : usiné avec un motif de prise qui fait référence à la quincaillerie industrielle, il contraste délibérément avec le dôme artisanal en dessous. La Doma est ce genre de lampe — chaque détail est pensé, rien n'est accidentel.
Finition et patine
Every hevna pendant is solid, unlacquered metal — no coating, no sealer. The finish is the metal, so it lives and changes with use. Out of the water, that change is slow and gradual.
Brass — starts golden and bright, then mellows into a warm, antique amber over months.
Copper — settles from bright into rich russet and chocolate tones.
It ages evenly — with no water and little handling, a pendant patinas slowly and uniformly, not in patches.
Want it bright? An occasional wipe of polish keeps the shine for years.
Want it aged? Leave it — it deepens on its own into a finish people pay extra to fake.

Oui. Le cuivre va-t-il également prendre de l'âge à l'intérieur ?
Oui, lentement. Sans l'eau et la manipulation quotidienne d'une cuisine, le cuivre s'adoucit au fil des mois pour prendre un ton plus riche et plus chaud plutôt qu'une patine profonde. La lueur chaude qu'il dégage et le reflet à l'intérieur de l'abat-jour sont ce qui fait que la lumière du cuivre massif est différente d'un luminaire plaqué. Si vous souhaitez retrouver un aspect plus brillant, un polish pour cuivre le restaurera.
Est-ce du cuivre massif ou plaqué comme les pendentifs moins chers ?
En cuivre massif. Les pendentifs bon marché sont généralement en acier ou en zinc plaqué, où le revêtement fin finit par s'écailler ou se ternir et ne peut être restauré.
Le cuivre massif n'a pas de revêtement à détériorer. Il vieillit au lieu de se dégrader, et un polissage le restaure toujours.
