Solid unlacquered brass has a soul. With no sealant to hide behind, it breathes with your home, deepening over time into a warm patina that is yours alone. No two ever age the same way.
If you love the patina: do nothing. Let it live. A dry cloth after use keeps the tone even as it darkens.
If you prefer the shine: a minute with brass polish, or lemon and baking soda, brings back the bright gold. Always reversible.
What to skip: bleach, vinegar, and abrasive pads. They patina the metal unevenly.

¿Cómo se desarrolla la pátina del latón sin lacar?

A lo largo de los meses, ese oscurecimiento se extiende hasta adquirir un tono uniforme y cálido. La química del agua y el uso diario influyen en el ritmo. No hay dos grifos que envejezcan de la misma manera, y esa es la clave.
¿Puedo limpiar o pulir el latón para restaurar el acabado original?
Sí. Un pulidor de latón, o jugo de limón con bicarbonato de sodio, lo devuelve al color dorado brillante en unos minutos.
La pátina siempre es reversible. Tú eliges: púlelo mensualmente y mantén el brillo, o déjalo y permite que se desarrolle. Ninguna opción es incorrecta.
