La patine, expliquée
Solid unlacquered brass has a soul. With no sealant to hide behind, it breathes with your home, deepening over time into a warm patina that is yours alone. No two ever age the same way.
If you love the patina: do nothing. Let it live. A dry cloth after use keeps the tone even as it darkens.
If you prefer the shine: a minute with brass polish, or lemon and baking soda, brings back the bright gold. Always reversible.
What to skip: bleach, vinegar, and abrasive pads. They patina the metal unevenly.

De quel robinet de salle de bain ai-je besoin ?
Cela dépend de votre évier et de votre comptoir. Vérifiez le nombre de trous de votre lavabo et l'espacement entre eux. Les robinets à un seul trou n'ont besoin que d'un trou.
Les configurations à trois trous sont disponibles en entraxe (trous espacés de 4 pouces) ou large (trous espacés de 8 pouces ou plus). Les robinets muraux n'ont besoin d'aucun trou dans le comptoir — l'arrivée d'eau se fait par le mur.

Le laiton non verni résistera-t-il dans une salle de bain ?
Oui. L'humidité et le contact quotidien avec l'eau accélèrent légèrement la patine par rapport à une pièce sèche, mais n'endommagent pas le laiton massif.
La finition s'approfondit avec le temps pour devenir un ton antique chaleureux. C'est le même processus, juste un peu plus rapide. Rien ne se corrode, rien ne s'écaille.
Le dentifrice et le savon endommageront-ils la finition ?
Ils n'endommageront pas le métal. Le dentifrice est légèrement abrasif et le savon peut laisser des résidus – les deux accélèrent légèrement la patine là où ils se déposent.
Rincez le robinet après utilisation et la teinte restera uniforme. Un chiffon doux est le seul entretien dont il a besoin.
Mon plombier aura-t-il du mal à installer un robinet fait main ?
Non. « Fait main » décrit le métal et l'artisanat, pas les raccords. Tous les robinets de salle de bain Hevna se vissent à la plomberie standard et s'installent de la même manière que n'importe quel robinet domestique. Pas d'adaptateurs, pas de raccords spéciaux.
Est-ce que ça en vaut la peine par rapport aux alternatives moins chères ?
Les robinets de salle de bain bon marché sont en zinc avec un revêtement. Le revêtement s'use, surtout dans un environnement humide. Vous les remplacez tous les deux ans et payez l'installation deux fois. Un robinet hevna est en laiton massif. Il ne s'use pas car il n'y a rien à user. Il est livré avec une garantie de 5 ans, la livraison gratuite et les retours gratuits. Plus vous le gardez longtemps, plus sa valeur est élevée et meilleur il paraît.
Puis-je restaurer l'éclat si je change d'avis sur la patine ?
Oui. Le polish pour laiton, ou le jus de citron avec du bicarbonate de soude, lui redonne son éclat doré en quelques minutes.
La patine est toujours réversible. Vous décidez à tout moment si vous voulez la laisser vieillir ou la maintenir polie.
