This sink works in two zones and wears two faces. Inside, the basin is all function: a spacious hammered copper washing bowl on the right, and a shallow integrated draining zone on the left — fitted with a perforated copper grid that lets water pass straight through to the drain below. Dishes come out of the water, go onto the grid, and drain without you thinking about it. No separate rack, no countertop drainer, nothing that doesn't belong to the sink itself.
Then there is the apron front — and it tells a completely different story. Where the interior is clean and warm and purposeful, the exterior face of this sink carries the full weight of aged copper: a heavy fire and verdigris patina that covers the flat apron in bold, irregular patches of deep orange-brown and green. It looks like the outside of an old building, or the hull of something that has spent time in the water. The two faces of this sink — functional warm interior, dramatically patinated exterior — are not in conflict. They are two honest expressions of what copper actually is: a material that works hard and ages beautifully, and does not pretend otherwise.
For daily care, wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners — they will strip the natural patina that makes this sink worth having in the first place.

Both are solid metal with a living finish, so it comes down to tone and what the sink sits next to.
Copper runs warm and reddish, ages into deep browns, and the hammered texture hides water spots and small marks better than any other material.
Brass runs golden and pairs cleanly with brass faucets and hardware for a coordinated look. Neither is more durable than the other.

Our sinks are made heavy enough for daily kitchen use, and on the hammered models the texture also disguises the small marks that show up instantly on smooth stainless steel.

Yes. A brass polish, or lemon juice with baking soda, brings it back to bright gold in a few minutes.
The patina is always reversible. You choose: polish it monthly and keep the shine, or leave it alone and let it develop. Neither choice is wrong.

Yes. The drain opening follows the standard US 3.5 inch size, so standard disposals fit the same way they would on any kitchen sink.

Most standard cabinets handle a drop-in or undermount with no changes. Apron-front and farmhouse installs carry more weight at the front, so have your installer confirm the cabinet support before fitting.
