The difference between a good undermount sink and a great one is often the rim. A thick ledge draws attention upward, back to the countertop. A slim rim keeps the eye inside the basin — where the material is, where the work is, where the hand-hammered brass catches the light and does what it was made to do. This brass undermount sink has almost no rim at all. The edge sits tight and clean against the underside of the counter, and from above, the hammered gold basin is almost all you see.
Inside, every surface carries the same dense hand-hammered texture — the straight walls, the flat floor, the sharp transitions between them. The hammering is fine and even, the kind of work that comes from patience and repetition rather than speed. Outside, the basin walls are left smooth — no texture, no hammering, a clean brass surface that sits unseen behind the cabinetry. The contrast is not decorative. It is simply the right finish for the right surface: texture where it will be seen and used, smoothness where it will not. The unlacquered finish means the brass will develop its own character over time, the hammered interior deepening toward a richer gold with each passing season.

Both are solid metal with a living finish, so it comes down to tone and what the sink sits next to.
Copper runs warm and reddish, ages into deep browns, and the hammered texture hides water spots and small marks better than any other material.
Brass runs golden and pairs cleanly with brass faucets and hardware for a coordinated look. Neither is more durable than the other.

The patina is always reversible. You choose: polish it monthly and keep the shine, or leave it alone and let it develop. Neither choice is wrong.

Yes. The drain opening follows the standard US 3.5 inch size, so standard disposals fit the same way they would on any kitchen sink.
