The Faro is the only lamp in the Hevna range that lets you see the bulb. Every other piece — every dome, every cone, every barrel — hides the light source and shapes the output. The Faro does the opposite. A square lantern frame, built from hammered copper panels and fitted with clear glass on all four sides, surrounds the bulb completely while leaving it fully visible from every angle. The frame is constructed by hand: four flat copper panels hammered individually, fitted at the corners with brass trim strips that run the full height of the lantern, and joined at the top with a flat copper cap from which a cylindrical neck collar rises to meet the gooseneck arm. Every joint is deliberate, every corner tight, every glass panel set flush within its copper border.
The hammering across the copper frame panels is applied before assembly — each flat piece worked by hand until the surface carries that characteristic vintage texture of dense, rounded facets. A patination then settles the copper into warm dark amber and brown, the oxidation building deeper in the hammer valleys while the raised facets stay lighter. The brass corner strips, the gooseneck arm, and the layered wall plate are all left in their natural unlacquered state — warm champagne gold against the darker hammered copper of the frame, the two metals sitting in the same deliberate relationship as the Riveta cone sconce.
The Faro is the sconce for an entrance, a courtyard wall, or a covered outdoor space where the light itself is as much a part of the scene as the fixture that holds it.

Every hevna wall lamp is solid, unlacquered metal — no coating, no sealer. The finish is the metal, so it lives and changes with use. Mounted and dry, that change is slow and gradual.
- Brass — starts golden and bright, then mellows into a warm, antique amber over months.
- Copper — settles from bright into rich russet and chocolate tones.
- It ages evenly — with no water and little handling, a wall lamp patinas slowly and uniformly, not in patches.
- Want it bright? An occasional wipe of polish keeps the shine for years.
- Want it aged? Leave it — it deepens on its own into a finish people pay extra to fake.

This varies by model. Most wall lamps hardwire to a standard wall junction box for a clean, cordless look, and some are offered as or can be wired for plug-in. The listing states which it is in the specifications. For a hardwired model we recommend a licensed electrician, which is standard practice for any hardwired light.

It takes a standard medium-base bulb. Bulbs are sold separately so you can pick the style and color temperature you want. With a standard bulb and a compatible dimmer switch, the light dims smoothly from bright to soft. The exact bulb fitting and maximum wattage for your model are listed in its specifications.

Solid copper handles bathroom humidity well. The moisture simply ages the finish a little faster, which most owners love. Keep the lamp out of the direct spray zone of a shower or tub, and have your electrician confirm the spot suits the fixture and meets your local wiring code before installing. Placed beside a mirror or vanity, it ages into a warm glow that fits the room beautifully.

They age together but never perfectly identically. Each one is finished by hand and patinas with its own light, air, and touch. Side by side, a pair reads clearly as a pair. Up close, each has its own character. That small difference is the signature of handwork, not a flaw, and it is what separates a real metal fixture from a mass-produced one.

Solid copper. Cheap sconces are usually plated steel or zinc, where the thin coating eventually chips or clouds and cannot be brought back. Solid copper has no coating to fail. It ages instead of degrading, and a polish always returns it to bright.
