Every other brass sink at Hevna wears its making on its surface — hammer marks, texture, the visible evidence of hand-work. This one is different. The Polished Brass Undermount Sink is made from the same solid unlacquered brass, formed and fitted by hand, but the interior is brought to a mirror finish — smooth, reflective, and completely clean. No texture, no facets, no interruption. Just brass, polished until the basin becomes a surface that catches everything around it and gives it back warm and gold.
It is the right choice for kitchens that want the warmth of brass without the rustic register that hammered texture carries. Against dark marble, coloured stone, or a monochrome countertop, the polished basin glows — it reflects the light from above, the colours of the room, the movement of water. The sharp rectangular corners and straight walls keep the form precise and modern. The unlacquered finish means no lacquer to crack or peel — just brass that will deepen in tone slowly over time, the mirror surface shifting toward a warmer, richer gold as the material develops its natural character.

Both are solid metal with a living finish, so it comes down to tone and what the sink sits next to.
Copper runs warm and reddish, ages into deep browns, and the hammered texture hides water spots and small marks better than any other material.
Brass runs golden and pairs cleanly with brass faucets and hardware for a coordinated look. Neither is more durable than the other.

Our sinks are made heavy enough for daily kitchen use, and on the hammered models the texture also disguises the small marks that show up instantly on smooth stainless steel.

Yes. A brass polish, or lemon juice with baking soda, brings it back to bright gold in a few minutes.
The patina is always reversible. You choose: polish it monthly and keep the shine, or leave it alone and let it develop. Neither choice is wrong.

Yes. The drain opening follows the standard US 3.5 inch size, so standard disposals fit the same way they would on any kitchen sink.

Most standard cabinets handle a drop-in or undermount with no changes. Apron-front and farmhouse installs carry more weight at the front, so have your installer confirm the cabinet support before fitting.
