The Disco is built around the flattest form in the Hevna wall range. A large copper disc — wide in diameter, almost no vertical height — is pressed by hand into a very shallow curve, just enough to hold its shape and create a cove of space inside for the bulb. At the crown, where the arm connects, a small raised boss is formed — the same kind of gathered material that appears at the top of the Tigra pendant — a natural consequence of working the metal inward to a closure point, left as it is rather than hammered flat. The arm that holds it to the wall is short and direct: a single straight tube with a slight downward elbow, fitted to a round wall plate. The whole assembly is made in copper, treated identically, unified across every component.
The green patination is applied in two stages. The crown and the body of the disc are oxidized first into a warm dark brown — the colour of old pennies or seasoned ironwork. Then the verdigris chemistry is introduced at the lower zone, building up in dense, irregular patches around the outer band and rim, the green blooming outward from the edge of the shade the way weathering always starts — at the exposed perimeter, where moisture and air have the most contact. The arm and wall plate go through the same process, so the entire fixture reads as a single weathered object rather than a shade attached to hardware.
The Disco suits both interior and exterior walls — its flat profile sits close to the surface and its all-copper construction handles exposure without compromise.
