Description
The Tigra starts with more copper than most pendants need. The dome is wide and low, pressed generously outward from the center before the craftsman closes the top into a small raised boss — a rounded knob at the crown where the socket emerges. That detail is not decorative. It comes from the shaping process itself: as the metal is worked inward to close the top of the dome, the excess material has to go somewhere, and rather than hammering it flat, the craftsman lets it gather into that small raised form at the apex. It is the most honest part of the lamp.
Then the tiger patina is applied, and this is where the Tigra becomes something that is very difficult to look away from. A deep forest-green verdigris is built up across the entire surface first — dense, matte, fully covering the copper beneath. Then, in a second stage, the patina is selectively removed in large, irregular patches, exposing the raw copper-gold beneath. The removal is done by hand, with a tool that drags across the green surface and lifts it away in broad organic shapes — not fine stippling, not a pattern, but bold irregular islands of bright copper that sit against the dark green ground like a topographic map or like the camouflage markings of something that evolved to disappear into complex environments. The contrast between the two tones is the highest in the Hevna range. Green this dark next to copper this bright does not soften — it confronts.
The interior is raw copper, and when lit, the warm gold light it throws downward makes the dark green exterior look even richer by contrast. The Tigra is the pendant for rooms that are not afraid of presence.

The Story We Almost Didn’t Tell.
We almost let the work speak for itself.
But the hands, the heat, and the hard choices behind it? That’s a story worth telling.
