The Antique Brass Wall Mounted Tub Filler arrives already carrying history. The deep, speckled patina across both the valve escutcheon and the spout body - dark oxidation pooling in irregular patches against the warm brass beneath - is not applied for effect. It is the result of genuine aging, the kind of character that unlacquered brass develops over years of honest exposure. This piece has arrived at a finish that most hardware takes decades to earn, and it will continue to develop from here.
The configuration is as minimal as a wall mounted tub filler can be: two pieces, two escutcheons, nothing more. A large round plate on the wall holds a single slim lever valve - one control for temperature and flow, operated with a single turn of the wrist. Below it, a separate smaller escutcheon carries the L-shaped spout, which extends outward from the wall and angles downward with a clean square-cut tip. There are no cross handles, no bridge, no decorative details competing with the patina. The aged brass surface is the entire statement, and it needs no assistance.
This is unlacquered brass - a living finish that continues to develop honestly over time. It depends on your tub. A freestanding tub sitting away from the wall takes a floor-mounted filler that stands beside it. A tub against a wall or with a deck takes a wall-mounted or deck-mounted filler. The key difference is the plumbing: a floor-mount needs its supply lines roughed into the floor, so it has to be planned before the floor is tiled. Each listing states its mount type in the specifications, so match it to your tub before ordering.

This is the most important thing to check, and it varies by model. A tub filler installs in two parts: the rough-in that carries the water inside the floor or wall, and the trim and spout that mount on top.
