There is a version of the farmhouse sink that disappears into the kitchen — clean, minimal, quietly functional. And then there is this one. The brass ring handles mounted on the apron front change the entire register of the piece. Two large circular rings, each suspended from a ball-post bracket, sit on either side of the hammered apron face — the kind of hardware detail you find on old campaign furniture, on estate doors, on objects that were built to be touched and handled and used for a long time. They are not decorative in the passive sense. They give the sink a presence, a personality, a reason to look at the front of the cabinet as well as the basin above.
The hammering here is bold and deep — large rounded facets pressed into the full surface of the basin, the apron front, and the rim ledge, covering every face of the sink in the same hand-worked texture. Along the top perimeter, a fine beaded border runs the full length of the rim — a raised detail that frames the basin opening and adds a layer of craft that most sinks never bother with. The unlacquered brass carries a deeper, more antique gold tone than a freshly polished surface — it has already begun the journey toward the warm amber patina that unlacquered brass develops naturally over time, and it will only grow richer from here.

Both are solid metal with a living finish, so it comes down to tone and what the sink sits next to.
Copper runs warm and reddish, ages into deep browns, and the hammered texture hides water spots and small marks better than any other material.
Brass runs golden and pairs cleanly with brass faucets and hardware for a coordinated look. Neither is more durable than the other.

Yes. A brass polish, or lemon juice with baking soda, brings it back to bright gold in a few minutes.
The patina is always reversible. You choose: polish it monthly and keep the shine, or leave it alone and let it develop. Neither choice is wrong.

Yes. The drain opening follows the standard US 3.5 inch size, so standard disposals fit the same way they would on any kitchen sink.
