Description
The copper starts flat and anonymous. A craftsman places it over a rounded form and begins working it with a hammer — not mechanically, not with a press, but strike by strike, tracing the curve from the center outward until the metal holds its dome shape on its own. The rolled rim at the bottom is folded by hand, one slow press at a time, until the lip sits level and firm. Then the knurled collar is fitted at the top — the only part of the lamp that hints at precision engineering, a small nod to the mechanical world in an otherwise entirely handmade object.
The vintage finish comes next, and this is where time is deliberately rewritten. A patination process is applied to the surface — controlled aging, where the copper is treated to develop the warmth and variation that would normally take years of natural use to accumulate. The result is that shifting amber-to-brown tone you see across the dome: brighter at the hammer peaks, deeper in the valleys, never flat, never uniform. It looks like a lamp that has been hanging in a farmhouse kitchen for decades — because in every way that matters, it has been made to feel exactly that way.
The Barn pendant works in spaces that have texture and history: raw wood tables, linen, stone, plaster. It hangs quietly and belongs completely.

The Story We Almost Didn’t Tell.
We almost let the work speak for itself.
But the hands, the heat, and the hard choices behind it? That’s a story worth telling.
